Aside from the tree and location, we have many other options to consider. A bench will dedicated and placed around the tree with a plaque. We have the urn and additional memorial plaques coming for each of them.

Do we just dump the ashes? (uh, no) The vessel we use to bury their ashes is super simple. We choose The Living Urn that is designed to be buried with a tree and naturally decomposes. It is engraved with both their names and their wedding date of 2/14/1970.
This particular company also offers an urn designed for spreading of ashes to honor her more recent request to have some of her ashes spread at Martha’s Vineyard and our own wishes of taking her to Ireland.

The VA provides markers for veterans with several options. We'll lean on David for figuring out what the VA needs to take advantage of this benefit.
Bench
Bench
Mike and Heather worked with someone to custom build a large bench that should last for many years to come. A plaque will be attached with some sweet words that we all agreed upon.
